Is dried fruit fattening? I eat the kind that is unsweetened. I always feel so much more blotted after eating dried fruit.
I know the serving sizes are less..

If you equate the serving size to the number of pieces of fruit it makes up it is easy to see how you can get bloated. I like dried apricots but if I eat six halves that would be 3 full apricots. I would not normally eat 3 apricots in one sitting. It is easy to misjudge the amount you are eating and it does re-expand in your stomach. Too much of anything even healthy food will make you put on weight.
