yesterday i was eating something that contained pure passion fruit juice. my lips got very tingly and my mouth sort of froze (it was hard to speak...kind of like when u stand outside too long on a cold day). is this an allergy? i have never had a reaction to anything else in this dish i was eating. also, i have eaten passion fruit before but dont remeber this happening...

You can develop an allergy to a food at anytime, even if it never gave you any problems before.
There also could be a change of ingredients in the dish you were eating that you many not know about.
You can be allergic to the passion fruit but any other ingredient in the food. Testing would be the only way to know for sure.
