Plant lovers!!! Fruit trees that like shade?

I want to have a potted fruit tree out back, the area I want it is really low sun, partial I guess but not completely dark. Does anyone know of a fruit tree that does good in that kind of condition?

It's not good news I'm afraid, any fruit tree is going to struggle to produce a decent crop in shady conditions. You should get fruit but just not a lot.

There are many dwarf fruit trees that you could grow in a large tub and move it around to get the most sun.

Trees look particularly good in Versailles planters, they are also more stable than standard terracotta pots which can blow over with taller plants in them.

If you can grow the tree close to the house it will get reflected heat from the walls and be warmer at night.

Good luck.
Reply:Elder berry tree.
Reply:Shadblows and the brambles like raspberries are the only ones I've had any luck with. But I've never tried them in pots. RScott
