technically green beans are a legume which are nether a fruit or a vegetable cucumbers %26amp;tomatoes are fruits .if it has seeds inside it , its considered a fruit . vegetables potatoes carrots beets do not

Reply:If it's got seeds, it is indeed a fruit. I never thought of green beans before as a fruit, thanks for that one. Cucumbers are %26amp; so are tomatoes %26amp; squash. It's a tax issue with the government whether they label some as fruits or vegetables.
