You are talking about Noni fruit ====

Morinda citrifolia, commonly known as Great morinda, Indian mulberry, Beach mulberry, Tahitian Noni, or since recently:

Noni (from Hawaiian), Nono (in Tahitian), Mengkudu (from indonesia), Nonu (in Tongan), and Ach (in Hindi), is a shrub or small tree in the family Rubiaceae.

Morinda citrifolia is native to Southeast Asia but has been extensively spread by man throughout India and into the Pacific islands as far as the islands of French Polynesia, of which Tahiti is the most prominent.

It can also be found in parts of the West Indies.

There is plenty of information on the links below . Just click on them and read ===

Reply:noni fruit.
Reply:Noni, I used to eat the real fruit when I was little. We still have a tree in the backyard. Well, I think thats the fruit used to eat. Looks real similar. When its ripe, you can open it really easily. You can than eat the white stuff inside, and spit out the seeds. Its good and sweet, although I heard that the Noni Juice tastes bad.

Theres also something else called Mangosteen Juice and also one more called Goji Juice. All three of these fruits are supposedly good for your health. Mangosteen was a real big fad once, it was known to be some kind of miracle drink. Goji Juice was right after, I tasted it and its not bad. Its sweet, well depending on who you get it from I guess. Noni Juice wasn't all that popular, they lost it when they gave out free samples.
Reply:Years ago, I spent several months in Thailand around this time of year and came to appreciate two SE Asian fruit varieties - the rose apple and the green mango.

Technically the green mango is simply an unripe mango - a rose apple is a small red fruit with a floral taste.

Mangosteen (not likely but I've heard they are now legal to import)

fillipino mangoes or Altufo (not SE asian) mangoes

The Hmong market in St. Paul often has southeast asian fruits. See this discussion of Rambutan for more details on places where they can be found (and likely other fruits from the region) : http://www.chowhound.com/topics/440790
Reply:It's called a mangosteen.
