what is a good fruit salad receip? I dont want like whipped cream or jello or anything like that in it or on it, i just want just fruit and maybe a fruity dressing HELP!!!
Fruit Salad?
Always put fruit that discolours at the bottom of the bowl and prepare fruit in bite size pieces. Any fruit will do, but you don't need to buy exotics. I like to start with one sliced banana, then a peeled pear cored and sliced, then an apple, the same. Next I put citrus fruit in and as I am watching my weight I add orange juice at the end. If you like it sweet add a sprinkle of sugar over each layer. If you leave the fruit at room temp the juice comes out and makes it own dressing.Fruit will taste better too at room temp. For the citrus layer a grapefruit followed by a couple of oranges is nice. Always remove the pith. I like to make a flower arrangement for the top. Grapes around the edge, kiwi in the middle and a red plum thinly sliced and arranged make an impressive dish. My partner has just come in and disagreed with everything,no bananas? he has never compained before, so a fruit salad can be a very personal dish!
Reply:Good thing is to cut up equal pieces of:
strawberries
watermelon
honeydew
kiwi
orange
Then make a fruity dressing with orange/pineapple juice and a dash of gelatin and lemon juice.
Hope ya like it. :-)
Reply:whip cream cheese, a little powdered sugar and a little lemon juice together. That makes a nice dressing! Yummy!
Reply:anytime I make a fruit salad I use :watermelons, Strawberries, grapes and cantelope...I normally just have cool ship on the side or lightly sprinkle some sugar and let sit for like 3 hours to soak up the flavor its Delicious.
Reply:Here's a simple one...sliced apples, raisins, walnuts or pecans, mayo (this helps the apples from turning brown) and anything else you would like to add, like bananas.
Reply:2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen sweetened
strawberries, partially thawed
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 can (12 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
8 ounces whipped topping (about 3 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
PREPARATION:
Combine all ingredients; pour into a mold or freezer-safe dish and put in freezer. Freeze thoroughly. Take salad out 15 to 20 minutes before serving. Cut into wedges or squares to serve.
Serves about 18 to 20.

Fruit Pizza
Ingredients
1 (18-ounce) package refrigerated cookie dough
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract or other flavoring (almond, orange, or lemon)
Fresh blueberries, banana slices, mandarin orange sections, seedless grapes, strawberry halves, kiwifruit (or any other fruit you want), well drained
1/2 cup apricot preserves
1 tablespoon water
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line an ungreased 14-inch pizza pan with cookie dough cut in 1/8-inch slices, overlapping slightly. Bake 12 minutes or until light brown; remove from oven and cool on a wire rack.
In a medium bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract or other flavoring; spread over cookie crust. Arrange fruit over cream cheese layer in any design you want (use your imagination).
In a small saucepan over very low heat, make a glaze by heating preserves and water. Brush glaze over fruit, making sure to cover the fruit that will turn dark. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Note: This does not keep well, so plan on using it up. You may also use your own sugar cookie recipe in place of the refrigerated dough.
Makes 8 to 10 servings
Reply:Start with a can of peaches or pinapple. Use that fruit plus the syrup it is in and then start adding your favorite fruits to it. I like strawberries, apples, grapes, clementines, and grapefuit. You can serve chilled with a tablespoon of cool whip on top.
Reply:Fruit Salad with Poppyseed Dressing
Use fruits that are the freshest and ripest in this delicious salad recipe. The tiny amount of dry mustard adds a little kick to the dressing recipe that complements the sweet fruit.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Tbsp. honey
2 Tbsp. frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. poppy seed
1/8 tsp. dry mustard
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup blueberries
1 peach, sliced
1 nectarine, sliced
1 cup sliced strawberries
1 cup cubed cantaloupe
1/2 cup raspberries
PREPARATION:
Combine honey, lemonade concentrate, oil, poppy seed, mustard, and salt in a clean small jar with a screwtop lid. Shake well to combine and chill until serving time.
Combine fruits in glass bowl and mix gently.
Drizzle with poppy seed dressing and serve. Serves 6
Reply:Any chopped fruit is good. Make sure to squeeze some lemon juice on it to keep the fruit from getting brown. Any yogurt makes a nice dressing/topping. I like vanilla yogurt. Maybe a sweet onion or ginger sesame dressing?
Reply:Chop up strawberries, kiwis, mango, grapes, rasberries
You can improvise on fruits!
And combine and enjoy!
Reply:mix any fruits you want (like banana, grapes, and apple, anything you want basically) - then add lemon juice %26amp; a bit of salt and pepper - this prevents the fruits from going brown %26amp; gives it a zesty taste (and very healthy!!) =D
Reply:6 peaches, peeled, pitted, and chopped
1 pound strawberries, rinsed, hulled, and sliced
1/2 pound seedless green grapes
1/2 pound seedless red grapes
3 bananas, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup granulated sugar, or less, to taste
.
Dressing:
juice of one lime
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 teaspoon ground ginger
Combine chopped and sliced fruits in a large serving bowl; toss gently. Sprinkle with sugar. Whisk together remaining ingredients in a small bowl or 1 cup measure. Pour dressing mixture over fruit and toss gently to combine. Cover and chill the fruit salad thoroughly before serving.
or
6 cups assorted chopped or sliced fresh fruit, (berries, grapes, mango and/or kiwifruit)
2 limes, juiced
3 tablespoons Wild Berry KERNS? from LIBBY'S Refrigerated All Nectar
2 teaspoons fresh mint, finely chopped
COMBINE fruit in large bowl. Add lime juice, nectar and mint; toss gently to coat. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Reply:I would just put the fruit that you want in it together (make sure that if you have any "really wet" fruit to drain it well so that there isn't a ton of juice waterlogging the other fruit) and then you can get some of that cream cheese fruit dip to put aside it.
Reply:i think plain fruit with chili powder is good specially when im pregnant...
Reply:I like baby spinach, strawberries, and toasted slivered almonds. You can add feta cheese, but I like to skip the cheese. I use a blueberry vinaigrette dressing. Mmmm!
Reply:chop up pears apples melons bananas grapes strawberries blueberries and any other fruit you want. i dont think theres any dressing?
Reply:grapes
watermelon
strawberrys
blue berries
no apple or oranges, they are too juicy/brown
