Durian fruit?

Why people say durians are stinking fruits?? especially caucasians..durian cake/pies/fruit they areeeee sooooooo niceeeee...

im sorry, but they reek. i have never been able to try one because the smell literally makes me want to throw up. i enjoy asian food %26amp; other asian fruits, but that one is over the top. you mean you dont think they smell????
Reply:From a Malaysian: To me durians have always smelled sweet, just like their taste. They never smelled like shite. IMO, cheese is the only edible thing in the world that smells 100% like shite, but I still love it (and most, if not all "Westerners" too, I bet). So why the fuss? Report It
Reply:They have an acquired smell. The taste isn't anything like the smell, according to people who love it (such as my father)



Personally, I've grown used to the smell, but I just find the taste bland. It's a cute looking fruit though.

I actually like durian, once I've had a couple of bites and gotten used to the smell.
