Is fruit a free food?

i would like to increase me consumption of fruit my question is with the fiber content of most fruit is it like a guilt free food does it take more to digest then actual calories in the food itself

Is fruit a free food?
most fruit are full of natural sugars, but vegetables can be better, cucumbers have low calories, but really how may can you eat before you are sick and tired of them
Reply:If by free you mean calorie free? Then no however fruits are considered to be Nutrient Dense which means that they contain a lot of nutrients per calorie of the food. That is why it would be considered a guilt free food. Yes fruit does contain fiber, however they still contain calories. Increasing your fruit intake and limiting your processed food intake will be very beneficial to your overall health. Even though fruit does have calories, it should be consumed regularly every day.
Reply:some are, bananas are like 100cals but all fruit is good 4u and low cal so u can eat alot of it and not feel guilty.

Celery is free, in fact u burn more cals eating it! x
Reply:yeah..you can pick them up from any tree...then run
Reply:Raw vegetables and fruits are the best food to keep and maintain once health , than the non vegetarian food. It is a misconception to think that fibre content in the fruits will take more time for digestion.
Reply:No.
