my diet consists of mostly fruit and veggies. i eat whole grains and flax seed and healthy foods. i have two questions, one i started this about 4 or 5 days ago, maybe less, is it normal not to notice a change in the scale but to notice a change in the way i look? my energy sky rocketed and i have been so giddy! other question is my dad says fruit is bad for you. he said it's too much sugar and it's too aciditic. i eat two fruits a day, is that bad? i never heard of fruit being bad for you.
Bulk of diet consists of fruit and veggies?
1.Yes it is posible for you to notice a change in
how you look this is a change in how you
precieve your self since you started your
diet. there has been a mental change
you will notice more as you stay on this kind
of diet. this will be batter if you know a diet is
just that a diet. For this to realy do some real
good you need to look at this as a life change
you will love your self for this life change many
many years down the road. Stay on the diet
this sounds like what my mother eats and her
docter tells her she has the body of a 50 year
old she is 71 years old and full of energy.
2.The suger in the fruit is not bad for you.
The only processed suger can be bad
for you
I am not a dietion but I am a caregiver
for a man that has MS and diabeties.
I suggest 10 to 15 servings of fruits and veggies a day and the veggies half raw if
not totaly raw
Reply:no you need your fruit but try to eat fruits with less sugar....lots of ppl say that this sugar is bad for u but its natural sugar and as long as u eat it in moderation it can actually be good for you..just stick to more natural foods like organic and dont eat ur fruit with sugar. Try to eat it earlier on in the day and if u feel like u need a snack later at night have some carrots or celery with no dips or sauces that will just add fat that u dont need and also try to have as little fruit juice as possible because juice actually doesnt have as much nutrients as the actual friut and a lot of the time there is extra sugar or fructose-glucose added and thats not good for u.....dont stay away from fruits just be aware of what fruits and how much u are eating
Reply:Yes! That is exactly what should happen. You may be losing fat but gaining muscle, which will improve the way you look but since muscle weighs more than fat does, you won't see a change on the scale yet. Fruit is not bad for you, two to three pieces of fruit everyday is perfect. Also make sure you get protein, you can get that from peanut butter (the natural kind with just peanuts and no salt or anything is great, I swear by that stuff because I am a vegetarian so I need to get protein from somewhere). But good job it sounds like you are doing good with your choices of food. Feel free to email me with any more questions!
Reply:Fruit is not bad for you, however it does have natural sugars that can be fattening. If you are going to eat 2 fruits a day I would suggest doing it before 6PM. That way you can burn off the fat. If you eat to close to your bedtime, the sugars will store and could become fat.
Reply:Fruit isn't bad for you atall. As with every food, it contains energy, and if that energy isn't burned off, then it can be stored by the body... but they're not bad for you. You need to get some meat in you too though. Try adding some chicken fillets, or turkey to your diet too.
