Fruit flies???!!!?

I rarely have fruit sitting out in the open, but a few weeks ago I had some bananas sitting on the counter. Before we could eat them, I noticed a few fruit flies. Ever since, I just can't seem to get rid of them. They seem to multiply DAILY............ I keep a very clean house..............what do I need to do to get rid of these pests?????

They sell this sticky stuff at wal-mart that you could put up that the flies stick to. That worked at my parent's house. They also have this little contraption that catches the flies and for some reason they can't get out but they don't die (unless you leave them in there too long)
Reply:when we were dealing with this, we threw away all the fruit and wiped down the counter and the fruit bowl and left it empty for a week, and it went away. good luck! i know how annoying it is
Reply:Put some small bowls of vinegar around the kitchen. Change it when needed.
