Fruit and veggie diet?

i have tried many diets and seem to fail. im 28 im 5'7 and i weight 230. Im thinking about going on a fruit and veggie diet. no meat. does anyone know if this will work? i mean for breakfast i will eat oatmeal then fruit and veggies and plenty of water the rest of the day. what do you guys think?

Hi, I don't know what the big deal is about being thin! I'm trying to imagine at 5'7" you probably are a big boned person. And you are 28. Most of us women go thru a change every 7 years. And if you add it up your due! Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm 45 5'2 and 130lbs so I'm average. My rule is if I feel like crap about eating it I don't! Get plenty of rest and make good choices about what you eat. Exercise and smile "A LOT"! Love the body you live in! Don't get wrapped up in a diet because they don't last. Society has a way of making us hate our hair, skin, and our behinds. The better you feel about yourself the better you will look! Be PRIDEFULL that's very attractive!
Reply:bad idea....the diet should be protein based and supplemented with complex carbs, fruits/veggies and nuts/seeds for healthy fats. a low fat diet (less than 20% of cals from fats) means low testosterone production which causes a decrease in the metabolic rate and over time a loss of muscle mass. proteins have the highest thermogenic effect from feeding as the body has to expend more energy digesting them than carbs and fats. the body also has to expend more energy digested solid foods than liquids so eating your protein from sources like fish/seafood, lean pork/beef, eggs, cottage cheese, etc. is much better
Reply:you also need to workout, because you diet does has large amount of sugars.
Reply:lol. other way round m8!!!!! u have 2 cut out all carbs nd eat lots of meat. carbs are ur energy source so cut dat out and ull lose weight fast. its up 2 u bt warning u now. cut den 2 low nd u will feel very tired, bt lose it fast. if i was u i would slowing cut them and slowing increase ur protien intake.



nd btw, fruit is very sugary so nt a gd idea wid just eating that.

Reply:I'm a vegetarian so I support that 100%. The chicken breast... I say get the fat cut and don't eat the skin, easy advice...

February 11th i started eating just fruit and veggies for meals, light popcorn for snacks and 0 calorie pop and flavored water.

oh! and on special occasions i have a wrap at a restaurant.

ive cut back to getting drunk to only once a week... haha



1 month and 1 day later (today) ive lost 21 pounds.... its easy... no exercising.. just dont cheat!



i really dont care if its not heathy... it works :o)

as long as you dont oink out when you quit your diet and start excersising you'll keep the weight off.



i know alot of people are going to comment on how unheathy this is.... bring it on i dont care lol
