My Chi/Yorkie loves fruit!?

Have not had problems, but like everyone else, I would rather ask than Google. Is there any fruit I should not let her eat? She will not touch veggies, meat, or breads...she loves fruit. Especially bananas...I have to eat the banana outside or else she will take a bite when I am not looking.

Don't feed your dog grapes/raisins or any citrus fruits like clementines and oranges. And no feeding the seeds or the core, they are both toxins.

Fruit makes a great kong stuffer! Vegetables, too.
Reply:My Boxer loves fruit too... and veggies... I don't know if anything's really BAD for them, but I would stick to bananas, apples (NOT SEEDS), and grapes (cut it half so they don't choke!)..
Reply:My dogs also love bites of fruit, especially berries of all kinds, apples, pineapple and bananas. I don't give them things like oranges or grapefruit, and never seeds or cores from apples. Just keep it in moderation - it's a healthier treat than a lot of dog treats that are loaded with chemicals and preservatives.
Reply:Bananas are fine, but in moderation only. Don't make a habit out of of feeding bananas and never feed grapes raisins or chocolate.

I'm adding a link to a good web site that tells you what foods you should never give your dog. I have one printed out and keep it on my fridge so that everyone else in my family knows what not to feed the dog for treats.
Reply:Ooh, I'm glad you asked that question, lol! :D I really like this website, http://www.petalia.com.au/Templates/Stor... because it lists and explains a whole bunch of human foods that pets can't eat. If you don't want to go to the website, then I'll just list the fruits for u!

Pear pips, the kernels of plums, peaches and apricots, apple core pips (contain cyanogenic glycosides resulting in cyanide posioning)

Tomato leaves %26amp; stems (green parts) ( I listed tomatoes b/c some ppl refer to them as fruits, u may be one :D)

Raisins and grapes

There u go! I really recommend that u check out the site so u can be warned about the foods that pets can't eat, and ur baby will live much longer, lol.
Reply:Slightly unrelated, but I've also heard that onions are very bad for dogs as well. Garlic is debatable, but since it's a relative of onions it could also be harmful.

Check with your vet to be sure!
