Preserving fruit salad using food preservatives?

How can i preserve a fruit salad using food preservatives? What preservatives should i use? since my fruit salad contains, sugar, milk, iced water, mango, banana, watermelon, papaya and avocado.

could sodium benzoate okay? what would be the ratio.. or anything you could suggest... and how many days can i store it... would it be possible to store for months?

Unless you deep freeze it, with some loss of texture quality, and possible excess liquid upon thawing, storing it for months is unlikely.

25% of the population can't taste sodium benzoate, but 75% taste it as salty, bitter, sour or sweet, in protective levels. So, in something as mild as fruit salad, choosing sodium benzoate as your preservative could have adverse, and varied taste effects.
