I buy fruit from publix all the time but it's never as good as their prepackaged (overpriced) fruit salads. Not only are their fruit salads sweet, they're also flavorful, not over or under ripe, and their texture seems perfect.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for genetically enhanced fruit.
How does publix get their fruit salad so sweet?

Reply:They add sugar to it in the form of a simple syrup so there are no granules to give it away.
