when you make fruit salad w/ can fruit do you drain the juice? i'm not adding cool whip or anything. just the fruit in a bowl.
it's for 11am and it's 6pm now. thanks
How do i make fruit salad with canned fruit?
Open several cans of different fruit and drain but reserve the liquids separately according to taste as they will be nice served chilled in a glass.
I would just do it in the morning as it will not take much time.
Chill the fruit in the tins overnight if you wish.
Reply:Leave a little of the juice in then put Nestle Cream in it. Chill it in the refrigerator overnight.
Reply:open your cans into a drainer /strainer set up on a bowl .cover and let set for an hour or so.depending on how dry you want the fruit. then store in the fridge till you serve it.

Reply:yes drain and dry on paper towels
Reply:Drain the fruit, put it in a bowl, add some shredded coconut and toss. Simple. And prettier than just the canned fruit in a bowl. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs.
Some people like to add tiny marshmallows just before serving, but I think that's a little too trailer...

Drain and combine syrup from canned
fruit, reserve 1 1/2 cups of syrup.
Core and dice apple, mix with lemon
juice. Turn all into 2 1/2 qt baking
dish, Stir tog reserved friut syrup,
spices, and brown sugar; pour over
fruit. Dot fruit with butter. Cover
and bake in 350* oven 20 minutes.
Peel banana cut into chunks. Lightly
stir bananas and grapes into fruit,
cover, bake 5 minutes more.
Serve hot.
Reply:Drain well. Mix with honey %26amp; plain or vanilla yogurt. Add salted, shelled sunflower seeds. Delicious! But better with fresh fruit.
