Fruit & veg each day?

I know different fruit %26amp; vegatables have different health benefits etc but ....

If i ate 5 apples a day, would that mean i have had my 5 a day or 1 ?

Does it have to be 5 different types of fruit/veg?

Fruit %26amp; veg each day?
It would TECHNICALLY mean you had 5 a day BUT you wouldnt be getting all the vitamins your body needs so in a way yes but in a way no. It wouldnt be too healthy to eat 5 apples a day because apples only supply you one sort of vitamin.
Reply:For optimum results the fruits and vegetables should be different. The reason is because each fruit and vegetable gives your body the benefit of the different vitamins and minerals that each hold. However if you do eat five apples, that would mean that you had five servings not one.
Reply:why would you want to do that??? have 5-9 DIFFERENT fruits and veggies everyday..bring some colors into your life! %26gt;.%26lt; hehe. and no it wouldn't count as 5 because you are getting the same nutrients in the apple over and over..and when you have variation you get all the other vitamins and healthy stuff found in other fruits..there is not ONE fruit that has it all, you have to eat different types to get them allll good luckxoxoxo
