Fruit Picking in SF Bay Area?

Can anyone recommend a place in the SF Bay Area within driving distance of San Francisco for picking fruit? I'm thinking that it would be a fun summer day, with fruit that will make the memories last.



Places with a website (and your personal recommendation) would be much appreciated.

There's a very good site for you to locate these farms; I came across it because I live in Washington state and like to get my own fruit, but there are locations near you as well.

Reply:If you drive South down Highway 1 toward Santa Cruz, you'll find that after Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, there are a couple of places on the side of the road where you can pick up fresh produce. One of the places, Bob's Produce, I believe, has the "u-pick" option. I have never picked any of the fruits myself, so I don't know exactly what it's like but, that option exists. It's about a 30-45 minute drive, though... but the scenic ocean views make the time pass by quickly.
